Can typography be graphic? Of course. How about graphically... sexy? Why not? Wallpaper* Magazine, Time Inc.'s British-published travel, design, entertainment, fashion and media monthly, turned up the summer heat with an issue on sex and the erotic. For the saucy alphabet, Malika Favre at London's Airside created a different kind of graphically unique alphabet for all twenty-six letters-and not just for the X of sex. The black, white and gray illustrations of female couples engaging in graphically angular and physically acrobatic poses brought a playful twist to the headline, "Love Letters." Says Airside: "For the July issue, we created an appetizing alphabet of lovely ladies, which was featured in the magazine and used in their online promotion.
