A young boy stares into the camera, teeth clenched, emotion on his face. Is he angry? Determined? Excited? Erickson Stock in Petaluma, California created an image that users could use to illustrate any of these, but the photographer's original impression simply was the exuberance of being a kid. "This image was taken while shooting stock in Texas," Erickson reports. "The image truly captures the essence of the human spirit and the innocence and carefree nature of childhood. The title of 'Purity' was chosen to depict the gift that every child inherently possesses."
